In the cup, we find layers of juicy and syrupy textures amongst a medley of fresh fruits and caramelized sugars. Expect a yellow-toned tropical acidity, jammy red fruits and intense aromatics.

The larger cooperative structures that are common amongst the coffee supply chains of Latin America have largely dissolved or been abandoned in Oaxaca, in large part due to a push by producers to sell directly to buyers and find higher prices for their coffee. Further, national and regional quality competitions and a highly developed domestic specialty café scene has incentivized farmers to focus on producing higher scoring and more consistent lots. Our importing partner in Oaxaca has been adept at navigating these shifting dynamics and has built a strong network of skilled producers to source from each season, work that yields incredibly delicious coffees like Agua Colorada.
