The Umuco Washing Station services the communities of Campazi, Busambo, Remera, and Ruvumu. Washing stations are centralized wet mills where small plot farmers sell their coffee. These washing stations, found throughout all of coffee producing East Africa, are critical for the economies of these communities and for ensuring quality control throughout this complex supply chain.
This natural processed lot from the Campazi community was sun-dried on raised beds to 50% of its original weight, bagged and stored in a warehouse for 3-5 days to assist with a controlled yeast fermentation, then dried on raised beds for an additional 20-25 days. This meticulous processing leads to clean fruit flavors with pleasant malic and tartaric acidity and a sugary finish. 
Orders placed Monday - Thursday by 9am will be roasted and shipped the same day. Orders placed after our daily or weekly cutoff will be roasted the next scheduled production day. All online orders are shipped within 24 hours of roasting.
